Dr Michele Toner helps children, students, and adults with ADHD close the gap between knowing what to do and actually doing it.

ADHD Coach & Consultant, micheletoner.com · Perth, Western Australia
Michele was Australia's first credentialed ADHD coach, and she has spent the years since building the profession she helped start.
Originally trained as a teacher, Michele has supported people with ADHD since 1995, including volunteer work with ADHD WA and founding roles at ADHD Australia and the Australian Association on ADHD Professionals. She moved into full-time ADHD consulting and coaching in 2009, completed coaching training through CoachU that same year, earned ACC credentials from the International Coach Federation in 2010, studied advanced techniques at the ADD Coach Academy, and received her PCC credentials in 2013.
Her academic work sits alongside her coaching practice: her Master's thesis examined adults with ADHD living in chaos and striving for control, and her PhD investigated university students with ADHD and their stages of developing empowerment. She works with children, university and TAFE students, and adults, and her coaching centers on what she calls the 'point of performance' - the idea that ADHD is less about lacking knowledge and more about feeling unable to execute what you already know.
She now serves as a trainer, mentor, and faculty member at the ADD Coach Academy, is a registered mentor coach with the ICF, and is registered with the Professional Association for ADHD Coaches, working to promote ADHD coaching in Australasia and beyond. She is co-author of the ADHD Go-to-Guide, a resource for parents and teachers, and was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for her services to people with ADHD.
Dr Michele Toner OAM is Australia's first credentialed ADHD coach, an ADHD consultant, and a mentor and trainer of other ADHD coaches. She holds a PhD and Master of Special Education focused on ADHD, is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coach Federation, and was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for her services to people with ADHD.
Michele coaches children, university and TAFE students, and adults with ADHD, based in Western Australia and working with clients internationally. Her approach centers on the 'point of performance': helping clients pause, consider their options, and choose the right response in the moment, rather than treating ADHD as a knowledge gap.
